Outdoor Photography for people & brands in New Zealand - simple and about your needs.

Outdoor Photography project focus in Tongariro:
I worked with The Quarters (a boutique accommodation in Tūrangi which you should totally check out) to create a mix of photography and short-form video content showcasing the experiences around the area, including golfing, heli-biking and fly-fishing!
The goal was to capture the activities and the accessibility from The Quarters, near Tongariro National Park!
I delivered a full commercial image gallery alongside video assets for social and web use, and THIS was their feedback:
“[We] looked at the photos this morning, we love them, you've captured exactly what we wanted so beautifully -
I started out by 'hearting' my favourites but gave up as there were so many faves!
Thank you so much, we're totally thrilled and we can't wait to start using them - I'm now feeling confident about doing [the next photoshoot idea] now that we have you!”

Other ways I can help you:
You’ve come this far, you must be intrigued -
WHO IS THIS PERSON?
Well… I’m Maki!
I hike, tramp, climb and this 2026 year I’m all about calling myself a MOUNTAINEER.
Beginner, yes.
But mountaineer nonetheless.
I’ve completed my Introduction course in 2024, and 2025 was about focusing on training more and more to have the required fitness to tackle some of my main projects, which include Mount Ruapehu (actually got there on August ‘25! ready to go back though) and Taranaki.
But, other than that, the focus is on working with brands and people who are connected with nature, one way or the other.
So - ABOUT YOU:
You are outdoorsy
You either tramp, trail run or rock climb
You might have an outdoor related business
Your focus is on sustainability & taking care of nature
And a bit more about me:
I’m extremely dedicated (can be a bad thing).
Details are everything.
I’m super nice.
I’m definitely all about quality. And I use the word “definitely” too much.
I know you like me by now, so - let’s catch up over a coffee and discuss your project! (coffee offer available only for those of you living locally in the Mount, sorry - but happy to Zoom!).
