Outdoor & adventure portrait photography

WHO IS THIS FOR

Any outdoor enthusiast, but it will appeal for anyone who loves when their photographer friend joins them… but you can’t keep depending on that, can you?

Also, if you’re a budding outdoor athlete - trail runner, climber, long distance hiker, mountaineer, skier, snowboarder… you need to gain your sponsors’ attention, and your friends blurry photo won’t cut it.

So, let’s get to it: we plan the shoot, we meet at a trail head, we shoot, you get the photos - easy as it sounds.

I shoot natural light, candid photography, capturing the real you, in the actual conditions, doing your thing.

I mainly work in the North Island, but happy for any excuse to travel South!

WHERE WE SHOOT

Some sample locations where I shoot:

  • Karangahake Gorge in the Kaimais - easy access, stunning cliffs, beautiful sunset golden hour.

  • Kaiate Falls near Tauranga - a stunningly beautiful forest waterfall, lush as they come (Temporarily closed).

  • Taranaki Falls in Tongariro National Park - well, stunning falls, alpine environment within an hour walk, and we get Ruapehu and Ngāuruhoe too - win-win!

Generally, any place will cool views, and around 1 hour hike to location (so that it’s not that of a long day, but happy to go further!)

HOW DOES IT WORK

Well, we usually book a half day shoot, and we simply meet at the trailhead. You get all images to yourself, with all the adequate licensing for sponsors use where required, and I also get to tag you in social media (because I’ll be proud of those shots!).

Full galleries are delivered within a week, generally over 30+ photos (but depends on what we are after).
