WHO IS THIS PERSON?

Maki — outdoor adventure photographer based in Tauranga, North Island New Zealand

Well… I’m Maki!

Other than being a photographer, organising video along other freelancers and generally running a photography business since 2021 (rebranded to Echo in 2023!)…

…I hike, tramp, climb and this year (2026 for now!) I’m all about calling myself a MOUNTAINEER.

I’ve completed my Introduction course in 2024, and 2025 was about focusing on training more and more to have the required fitness to tackle some of my main projects, which include Mount Ruapehu (actually got there on August ‘25! ready to go back though) and Taranaki.

But, other than that, the focus is on working with brands and people who are connected with nature, one way or the other.

So - ABOUT YOU:
